We currently have an exciting opportunity for an

experienced,

compassionate, proactive, and motivated Therapy Technician

to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at

Hunters Moor Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

in Birmingham.


Our centre provides expert care and rehabilitation for individuals living with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and progressive neurological disorders.


As a Therapy Technician, you'll play a key role in helping residents regain independence, improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals. You'll work closely with

Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists

, supporting the delivery of individualised treatment plans tailored to each person's unique needs. You will also be expected to work

independently with patients

following clinical guidance and delegation from the supervising therapist.


We are looking for an experienced Therapy Assistant/Technician. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support.

has invested in state-of-the-art robotic technology to enhance the outcomes we deliver to our clients. A full suite of technology including equipment such as the Luna EMG Premium and the ExoMotus M4 are enabling therapists to provide intensive goal orientated rehabilitation.

What you'll be working:




This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The role:




As a Therapy Technician, you will:

Promote safety and protect the human rights of all residents in your care. Carry out therapeutic assessments and deliver treatment programmes under the guidance of qualified therapists. Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team to support safe and timely discharges. Provide resident-focused care that is safe, efficient, and aligned with both local and national standards. Work independently with patients following clear clinical guidance and supervision from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Use your initiative while managing your caseload, keeping the supervising therapist informed as needed. Conduct appropriate risk assessments of residents' capabilities and environments prior to interventions. Monitor and evaluate resident progress, making appropriate changes to treatment plans within your scope of practice. Educate residents and families on the correct and safe use of equipment, with support from registered therapists when required. Empower residents and families to engage in self-management and make informed decisions about their care.

What you'll bring:



Previous experience as a Therapy Assistant in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting Experience of therapeutic handling A proactive, caring, and flexible approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team A commitment to upholding dignity, independence, and the highest standards of care Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
