We are looking for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join a busy nursery in Muswell Hill. The nursery provides education and care for children from birth to 5 years old in a nurturing, stimulating environment. Conveniently located with excellent local transport links, children enjoy a variety of activities including science experiments, cooking, creative play, gardening, outdoor exploration, and imaginative games. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children's learning and development, help implement daily activities, and work closely with the team to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support planning and delivery of activities based on the EYFS and individual children's needs
Encourage learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are always followed
Maintain accurate records of observations, assessments, and learning journals
Work as part of a team to create a positive, collaborative, and supportive environment
Support children with care routines, social skills, and emotional development
Take on additional responsibilities or cover management duties as required
Requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development
Ability to safeguard and protect children at all times
Positive, adaptable, and friendly approach
Right to work in the UK
