Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Third in Charge. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of our childcare setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team and take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the manager and depury.

Responsibilities

Assist in the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies. Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive team environment. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety standards. Support staff in delivering high-quality childcare services while promoting best practices in early years education. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.

Skills

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting. Strong background in early childhood education or related fields, with experience working with children. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Experience in childcare or nursery settings is highly desirable.
