We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Third Party Claims Supervisor to lead a small team managing a variety of third party and public liability claims. This role involves collaborative engagement with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality cost packs, provide guidance on complex cases, and ensure timely and accurate delivery aligned with client objectives and performance targets.
Duties
Lead and support the team in collating documentation and reconciling costs to produce high-quality cost packs.
Champion process development and refinement in response to client instructions.
Coordinate with operational and commercial teams to reduce internal queries and improve resolution times.
Oversee investigations into public liability claims and determine liability stance.
Manage liaison with police forces for incident reports and ensure appropriate processing of payments.
Support negotiations with insurers and ensure accurate recovery allocation.
Produce and distribute regular reports to reflect claims progress and performance.
Undertake additional responsibilities contributing to team and organisational objectives.
Person Specification
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint (including pivot tables, data validation, graphs, VLOOKUP).
Experience with insurance claim management software (e.g. Figtree or similar).
Familiarity with accounting software for cost reporting (e.g. SAP S4/KHEOPS or similar).
Experience supervising or leading a team.
Handling performance reviews, coaching and development.
Conflict resolution and motivational techniques.
