Thrive Practitioner - SEMH School (Horley)



Full-time | Term-time only | Ages 11-16 | Specialist therapeutic support role

We are recruiting a qualified and passionate

Thrive Practitioner

to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Horley, supporting pupils aged 11-16.


This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the emotional wellbeing and development of young people who face barriers to learning due to social, emotional, or mental health challenges.


About the Role:



As a Thrive Practitioner, you will deliver targeted interventions and therapeutic support to help pupils build resilience, regulate emotions, and engage positively with their education. You'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.


Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver Thrive-based interventions for individuals and small groups Support pupils with emotional regulation, self-esteem, and social skills Monitor progress and contribute to personalised support plans Collaborate with staff to embed Thrive principles across the school Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding practices

Requirements:



Thrive Practitioner qualification (Essential) Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
