Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shift Leader to oversee operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and effectively communicating with staff, parents, and children alike.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the nursery, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both children and staff. Develop engaging educational programmes that cater to the needs of children at various developmental stages. Monitor children's behaviour and provide guidance to promote positive interactions among peers. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided in the nursery.

Experience

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Previous leadership experience is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to manage a team effectively. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact with children, parents, and staff members. A background in managing or working with children in a nursery setting is preferred. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when dealing with young children is crucial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.57-13.07 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
