Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. As a Tig Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Operate welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welding machines, to perform precise welds. Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts. Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform basic maths calculations to determine material requirements and dimensions. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tig Welder or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, as well as MIG welding. Experience working with sheet metal and familiarity with various fabrication processes. Ability to effectively use both power tools and hand tools in a workshop setting. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues as they arise.
