Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role involves installing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. A keen eye for detail and the ability to read schematics are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas, ensuring precision in all installations Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, smoothing, and applying adhesives as necessary Install tiles according to design plans, ensuring proper alignment and spacing Apply grout and sealant to finished tile work, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing basic repairs as needed Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction, particularly in tile setting or similar roles Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the trade Basic carpentry skills are advantageous for preparing surfaces prior to tiling Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans accurately Experience with construction painting is a plus, enhancing overall project quality Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: 14.29-28.79 per hour
