Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tiler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces. As a Tiler, you will be responsible for installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications.

We would ideally like to find someone enthusiastic who wouldn't mind jumping in and helping out with other tasks on site such as general labouring.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas using hand tools and power tools. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives as necessary. Lay out tile patterns according to schematics or design plans, ensuring alignment and aesthetic appeal. Secure tiles in place with adhesive or grout, ensuring proper spacing and finish. Perform repairs on existing tile installations as required. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters, to ensure cohesive project completion. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process.

Experience

Proven experience as a Tiler or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tile installation. Familiarity with reading schematics and understanding design plans is essential. Experience in carpentry or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
