Tiling and Maintenance Tutor

8.45am - 4.15pm

Riverside Education is an OFSTED 'Outstanding' independent school catering for students aged 14-19 with Special Education Needs and associated behaviours.

Job Purpose

To teach students a level one qualification in tiling. To complete maintenance tasks, carry out compliance checks, ensuring all sites are safe, clean and well-maintained at all times.

Key responsibilities

Plan and teach practical and theory lessons

Ensure all Health and Safety processes and procedures are followed

Manage behaviour effectively

Support students with their SEND needs

Complete assessment and associated administrative tasks

Maintenance tasks may include repairs, painting and gardening

Complete paperwork associated with maintenance, safety and compliance checks

Other duties

Other duties may include but are not limited to:

Delivering or supporting tutorials and enrichments

Completing paperwork for students

Break duty

Supporting and/or covering lessons

Qualifications, training and Experience

Experience working with young people is desirable

Qualifications and/or experience in the area of construction or maintenance is essential

Good standard of Maths and English
