Till / General Retail Assistant - Notcutts Woodford Park Garden Centre (SK7)
Part Time - 24 hours per week. This is to include both weekend days ( Saturday and Sunday) and 2 week days each week. (We are flexible with which 2 week days are worked to suit candidates availability)
This is a temporary position for a period of 2 months.
Rate of pay in line with NM/NLW pay rates.

Our Notcutts Woodford Park Garden Centre is looking for an enthusiastic retail and customer service assistant to work across the tills and also in the retail area within our garden centre on a temporary basis.
At the weekends you will be one of our Till /Cashier colleagues where you will be the last person our customers will meet and therefore it is important that you provide an excellent customer service, giving our customers a positive lasting impression. This role will also involve assisting with cashing up procedures and maintaining displays to areas near the cash desks.
During the 2 days in the week you will be working alongside the indoor retail colleagues which consists of unpacking stock items, pricing stock items and replenishing all areas of indoor departments. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a retail environment, some horticultural knowledge will be useful, as will DIY and merchandising skills as the role may also involve maintaining displays and will require a flair for merchandising products to create that 'WOW' factor, in order to maximise sales opportunities.
Our ideal candidate will;
Have previous experience operating a till and cashing up, preferably in a retail environment
Have excellent people skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of customers
Have previous experience in a retail assistant role, preferably in a gardening/retail environment
Have excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of customer
Have the experience and ability to upsell and cross sell across a comprehensive range of products
Be a naturally friendly and helpful person
Have previous experience with stock replenishment
Be able to maintain shop floor, POS and pricing standards
Be flexible and adaptable to change
Be able to work effectively as part of a team and on their own
