Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Timber Frame Panel Maker to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling timber frame panels, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery techniques and the ability to work with various hand tools. The Timber Frame Panel Maker will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the creation of durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.

Responsibilities

Fabricate timber frame panels according to specifications and design plans. Assemble components using appropriate joinery techniques to ensure structural integrity. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Perform heavy lifting as required during the assembly and installation processes. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality, including painting and finishing as necessary. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and safe work environment. Conduct regular inspections of materials and finished products to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assist in masonry tasks as needed for panel installation or support structures.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools relevant to carpentry and panel making. Strong understanding of joinery techniques and their application in timber framing. Ability to plumb structures accurately during assembly processes. Experience with roofing systems is advantageous but not essential. Capability to perform heavy lifting safely, adhering to best practices for manual handling. Attention to detail in both fabrication and finishing tasks, including painting when required. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during production.
