Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven salesperson to join our merchant team. The dieal candidate will have experience of working in a timber or builders merchant. The role is office based with the occasional opportunity for external sales visits.
Duties
Take incoming sales calls and price orders for trade and retail customers. Negotiate pricing on an order specific basis. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation. Source non-stock items from regular suppliers where required. Provide ongoing account management by maintaining regular contact with clients, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Requirements
Experience of working in a sales function within a merchant environment. Good customer relationship skills. Comfortable with speaking with customers over the phone and face to face. Good product knowledge of construction products. Ideally including timber. Good commercial awareness with a confidence to price work at the appropriate level to win sales and maximise profit. Reliable and trustworthy. Strong written communcation skills with the ability to present information clearly. A reasonable level of IT familiarity.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 24,420.00-35,000.00 per year
