Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations by ensuring that materials are handled properly and that the yard is kept organised. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials from lorries and ensure they are stored in the appropriate locations. Operate forklifts / side loaders safely and efficiently to move products around the yard. Maintain an organised yard by ensuring all materials are stored correctly and safely. Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to H&S guidelines Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Operation of timber treatment plant

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is preferred. Proficiency in using forklifts and other material handling equipment is advantageous although training can be given Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
