Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class 2 32-ton driver to operate commercial vehicles for delivery and transportation purposes. The ideal candidate will possess experience in flatbed driving and have a strong understanding of safe driving practices within a commercial environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in delivery driving to utilise their skills in a professional setting, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 32-ton lorry, including flatbed vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, including delivery notes and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen issues Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar large lorries Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with no restrictions or endorsements that would impede driving duties Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods securely Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently
