Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 8 wheel Tipper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving and ideally basic mechanical knowledge, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of aggregates. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism while on the road.

Duties

Local deliveries/collections only - no overnight stays. Operate lorry in compliance with all company policies and traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with Transport Operations Manager and Transport Manager along with other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues encountered during transport. Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed (not essential). Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on duty.

Qualifications/Criteria

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E). Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Professional conduct at all times and remembering the importance of representing the company brand whilst on the road. Previous experience in a similar role is required - ideally at least 2 years. Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance would be a benefit but not essential
