Tissue Viability Nurse
Job Description
Act as and be fully engaged with the tissue viability teams a cross the organisation. Act as a role model and demonstrate high standards of infection prevention and hand hygiene policies and protocols. Provide professional and clinical leadership in aspects of tissue viability and issues with skin integrity breakdown. Actively support service delivery through appropriate triaging of referrals to ensure the patient list is actioned in order of severity.
Deliver high standards of wound care treatment and management. Provide autonomous assessments and develop management plans for inpatients at the Brighton, Newhaven, and Haywards Heath hospital sites. Support the tissue viability team to deliver teaching, training, and education programmes following the needs of the staff, their disciplines, and their banding. Deliver ward based focused training to improve knowledge and understanding of the ward nursing teams.
