This is a permanent, part-time role covering weekends and Mondays. A driving license is required, and there is no accommodation provided.

About Us:

We are a large dairy farming and processing business near Glastonbury, managing a herd of over 1,000 cows milked three times a day using a 60-point rotary. Our herd is housed in sand-bedded cubicles and fed with Total Mixed Ration (TMR) and automated parlour feeding systems. We focus on innovation, efficiency, and the highest standards of cow care and sustainability.

The Role:

We seek an experienced TMR Operator/General Farm Worker to mix and deliver TMR and PMR to the herd and youngstock, with additional relief tasks covering Saturday to Monday. There may be opportunities to take on more weekday duties based on availability and skill level.

Key Responsibilities:

Mix and deliver TMR/PMR to the herd and youngstock Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow feeding rations and Digistar software for accurate feed delivery Maintain silage clamps and feed stores Keep up-to-date records Perform general machinery maintenance Handle feed deliveries Assist the main dairy team and report issues promptly

Skills & Qualifications:

Valid UK driving license Telehandler certificate (or willingness to obtain) Experience with TMR feeding or farm work is preferred, but training will be provided Competence with telehandlers, feeder wagons, and basic machinery maintenance Knowledge of silage clamp management and livestock handling Familiarity with Digistar software or quick learning ability Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
