Job Description

Smart TMS specialise in using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Approved by NICE in 2015, this treatment for depression is safe, effective and non-invasive.

We are looking for a motivated TMS practitioner for our London High Street Kensington clinic and help us change the lives of patients with depression.

The preferred start date for this role is

1st of December.



Using rTMS in the treatment of depression and other mental health conditions, the practitioner will administer TMS treatment and support patients throughout their treatment plan, monitoring progress with psychometric testing and conducting observational assessments.

The clinic is introducing a neurofeedback service, so the TMS practitioner will also administer neurofeedback for a range of conditions.

Working with a multidisciplinary team the TMS practitioner will maintain regular contact with the clinician, updating on the patient's treatment.

Professional awareness is crucial to the success of the London High Street Kensington clinic. The TMS practitioner will also be required to work with the marketing team in promoting TMS to clinical professionals in the area, providing written material for the website and social media and participating in webinars with psychiatrists.

This varied role allows the TMS practitioner to be fully involved in the success of the clinic. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and able to work independently to drive business development in London.

Monthly Clinical Supervision will be provided with a Smart TMS Clinical Psychologist.

ESSENTIAL



2:1 or above degree in Psychology or related (e.g. Neuroscience) Experience in a Health care setting, preferably in mental health A good listener and able to empathise with patients. Ability to work well within a team structure as well as independently. Good standards of written and spoken English is imperative.

DESIRABLE



Knowledge of TMS and/or neurofeedback. Experience working in a private health care setting. Experience of research & data collection Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g Excel & PowerPoint) Experience with CRM software, e.g. Salesforce

PERSONAL SKILLS



Motivated to succeed - this role is in a fast-growing business so there is likely to be a wide variety of activity Empathetic, compassionate - we are working with patients who are depressed and/or anxious so being a good listener is important Good communicator - in person, on the phone and in writing Good attention to detail. Confident, organised self-starter - work will be unsupervised for a proportion of the time Ability to plan and prioritise own workload, and work to deadlines. Would suit an individual with experience of mental health issues, personally or as a carer or nurse, or with an interest in psychology/mental health.

TRAINING:

Full training in TMS will be given over a 4-week period. Training agreement to the value of 4000 for a period of 2 years. Training may involve travelling to other clinics across the UK.

Remote Work:

Ability to work from home when there are no patients booked in clinic.
