Toddler Room Leader - Whittington Preschool and Day Nursery

At Whittington Preschool and Day Nursery, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Toddler Room Leader. In this role, you'll oversee a small, supportive team and work closely with children aged 2-3 years in our cosy toddler room.

Requirements:

Minimum Level 2 Early Years Childcare qualification (current and up-to-date) Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role Enthusiastic, passionate and full of ideas to encourage learning and development in line with our bespoke curriculum and ethos Understanding of Reggio Emilia and Hygge In The Early Years approaches Ability to lead a team with confidence and a proactive mindset Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Strong IT skills and an ability to use an iPad to access our online system (Famly) Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures Experience of the EYFS statutory guidance and an understanding of how it is implemented Follow our policies and procedures as well as legislation relating to childcare
The current hourly rate for this position is 12.60 with a pay increase scheduled for January 2026.

This position is full-time. We have two working pattern options:

40 hours:

4 full days 7:30am - 6:00pm with 1 full day off each week.

45.5 hours:

4 full days 7:30am - 6:00pm and 1 half day 7:30am - 1:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,208.00-29,811.00 per year
