Overview

Clowns are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Toddler room Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our childcare facility, overseeing daily activities, and providing leadership to staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for children.

We are looking for an Early years Practitioner who shares our passion and vision to provide the very best care for all our children, giving them the best start by providing a varied and stimulating environment and opportunities that encourage children to learn through play.

Duties

Supervise and manage daily operations within the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. Lead and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare services, promoting best practices in early childhood education. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Drive initiatives that enhance the learning experience for children, incorporating creative activities that stimulate development. Assist in training new staff members, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and childcare practices. Maintain accurate records of children's activities and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Foster a positive team culture through effective leadership and support.

Experience

Previous experience in a childcare setting or nursery is essential, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A background in working with children is highly desirable, along with an understanding of their developmental needs. A relevant qualification in childcare or early childhood education would be advantageous.
Successful candidates MUST have the following attributes

Hold a level 3 or above relevant Childcare qualification Have a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures Successful references returned successful applicants will need to undertake a full enhanced DBS check ( unless subscribed to the DBS update service) To hold a full paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable but not essential) Able to participate in on-going training and development through internal & external agencies
