Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Supervisor qualified to NVQ Level 3 with at least one year experience to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. As a Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, while also managing staff and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties

Supervise and support staff in their daily responsibilities to ensure high-quality care and education for children. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote learning and development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to play and learn. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies. Manage daily schedules, including activities, meals, and rest times. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes accordingly. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff to create a supportive community.

Skills

Proven management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both staff and children. Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes related to outings or events. Ability to build rapport with children and their families while maintaining professional boundaries.
