Hours: 38-hour Night Shift
We're looking for a skilled Tool & Die Maker (Night Shift) to support our Wire & Cable and Materials Manufacturing facilities. Tool Care is a critical part of our production process, ensuring that our teams have the tooling they need to meet production priorities.
Job Requirements
Clean and prepare tooling for Wire & Cable production and Materials Department Breaker Plates. Work closely with Cell Leaders and Shift Managers to align priorities. Inspect tooling for wear and initiate refurbishment or replacement as needed. Maintain accurate inventory of tooling in rotation and ready for use. Respond quickly to unforeseen tooling issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with the Tool Care team while working independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in diverse production environments. Knowledge of Wire & Cable Extruder Heads and associated tooling (advantageous). Ability to work with equipment such as furnaces, gas torches, pillar drills, abrasive wheels, cleaning baths, jet wash, and wet blasts.
What your background should look like
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related work experience. Requires completion of high school. Vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.
