Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate different types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. A valid driver licence and relevant experience in delivery driving are essential for this position.

Duties

Operate a range of commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduling deadlines Load and unload goods safely, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams Assist in warehouse operations when required, including loading and organising stock Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are made professionally and courteously Adhere to all health and safety guidelines throughout all operational activities

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with flatbed or similar vehicles Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks Experience working in warehouse environments is advantageous Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Demonstrated ability to navigate using GPS or traditional maps efficiently Prior experience with delivery driver roles involving logistics coordination is desirable

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
