Job Description

Our Tour Directors are a very important part of our team, and we are looking for positive people who enjoy inspiring the younger generation to speak the target language, and to feel the culture of the country they are visiting.

We are looking for Tour Directors to lead tours specifically in Spain and/or France.

Our Tour Directors will:

accompany the group abroad, sometimes meeting and travelling by coach with the group or flying out to meet them at the destination airport.

implement preparations made by Connect Studies staff, e.g., Museums and visits will have been booked and it is the duty of the Tour Director to ensure scheduled appointment times are met, calling ahead in the event of any delay.

reorganise timings, when necessary, e.g., traffic conditions warrant a change of plan.

quickly assess the needs of the school, and liaise with hotel staff, coach drivers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best experience for all tour participants

be able to relate to different people across a diverse range of service providers

exercise diplomacy to secure a compromise, when necessary, that is beneficial to all parties

plan resources, e.g., a 30-minute lesson or give a commentary on some of the places visited.

Organise, but not prepare, picnic lunches or packed lunches through the hotel.

Will be an additional pair of eyes, but not be responsible, for the behaviour and supervision of pupils, in. addition to the teachers

Accompanying a school group abroad requires a lot of patience, energy, enthusiasm and at times, the ability to quickly think outside the box under pressure. However it is also a very rewarding experience and offers the opportunity to travel and enthuse others with the love of travel that we as a company feel passionate about.

Pay: 200.00 per day
