LITTLE'S AND YOU

Our chauffeurs are the face of our company, however at Little's, they are so much more than a driver. Our chauffeurs act as concierges on the road providing a safe, punctual, helpful, secure and informed experience. They keep our vehicles clean and they are also part of a large supportive team of fellow chauffeurs, reservations/sales staff, and senior management working together to offer the best customer service in the industry.

The work is exciting and varied and involves driving our fleet of luxurious vehicles and looking after business, leisure, corporate and event clients while always supplying the same five-star service and showing them the absolute best of Scotland.

ARE YOU THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

We need people who are able to demonstrate first class driving skills, who have a history of excellence in customer service that our clients expect, and who can show a willingness to improve their skills and knowledge. You may have experience as a chauffeur, in professional driving or the hospitality industry; you may have spent time in public service or you may just be looking to change direction but whatever your background, you must have the right attitude, a desire to learn new skills and the ability to manage your time effectively. An ability to speak another language as well as English is always welcome and driving qualifications from a previous profession or from ROSPA or IAM are advantageous. Full training is provided but you absolutely must bring flexibility and positivity.

At Little's we operate a 24-hour, 7 day a week business; our lights are always on, so working hours can be any time of the day or night. We are currently recruiting a Supply Chauffeur to operate from our EdinburghBase and carry out sightseeing tours with clients. While there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in day-to-day chauffeur duties, their primary focus will be touring with guests over consecutive days and will potentially involve staying away from home overnight. To fulfil this role you will already have an expertise of Scotland's road network and proven planning skills; you will have a good knowledge of our history, geography and the locations that will quite simply take a visitor's breath away; you will know the best places to stop for food and drink; and you must be able to converse with your clients in an entertaining and informative manner.

This role is based on the successful applicant working on an "as and when required" basis and there is no guarantee of minimum hours, however there will be touring opportunities until the end of September and the potential for routine supply work over the winter months.

OUR PROMISE

Living Wage Hourly Rate and Paid Holidays -our rate of pay is 12.60 per hour however this is enhanced by holiday pay for each hour worked, bringing the effective rate to 14.12 per hour. We pay our chauffeurs from the time we ask them to report to our garage, which also includes planning and preparation time as well as the time our clients are not in the vehicle. A generous overnight allowance is paid when staying away from home.

Flexible Working - this post operates on "an as and when required" basis with no fixed hours or days - we operate 24/7 and working hours depend on business demand.
