Town Planner.



The Role



We are seeking a motivated and experienced Planning Consultant to join our growing practice. This is a flexible role (part-time or full-time) working closely with our design team and clients, providing expert advice and preparing and managing planning applications across a range of projects.

You will play a key role in shaping planning strategy, liaising with local authorities, and guiding projects from concept through to approval.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries.

Provide planning advice to clients and colleagues, ensuring compliance with local and national policy.

Assess development potential and advise on planning strategy for new and ongoing projects.

Draft and review planning statements, design and access statements, and supporting documents.

Liaise with local authorities, statutory consultees, and stakeholders.

Keep up to date with changes in planning policy, law, and best practice.

Contribute to business development opportunities and support the growth of the planning service at CAAD Ltd.

Skills and Experience



RTPI accreditation desired (or working towards).

Proven experience working as a Planning Consultant or similar role within consultancy, local authority, or private practice.

Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policy, and development management processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
