As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Toxicology Specialist to join our Global Safety team. In this role, you will be a vital part of the Global Safety team, contributing your technical expertise to provide expert toxicological advice for new product development, ingredient defence and strategic decision making for Croda chemistries.
You will be responsible for providing toxicology expertise to internal Croda business partners, and to providing toxicology product and substance specific support to Croda customers, with an emphasis on novel non-animal approaches to hazard and safety assessment. You will represent Croda in workshops at Trade Associations and deliver technical presentations to both internal and external customers. Throughout Croda you will be the recognised contact person for toxicology topics.

We require you to be:
Educated to degree level in toxicology or life sciences, with relevant experience in a toxicology related field and hazard and safety assessment
Educated to master's or PhD level in toxicology or life sciences (desirable but not essential) but with relevant experience in a toxicology related field and hazard and safety assessment
Experienced/knowledgeable in alternatives to animal testing for hazard and safety assessment to proactively support Business development
Experienced in read across to support product development and ingredient defence
In possession of excellent written and spoken communication skills
A strong team player capable of building effective working relationships across functions within the company
Able to impart technical knowledge to a (senior) management audience and be able to translate complex ideas into appropriate language for a non-technical audience
What You'll Be Doing:

Providing toxicological expertise, including up to date advice on NAMs, to internal Croda business partners
Providing toxicological product and substance specific support to Croda customers with an emphasis on novel non-animal approaches to hazard and safety assessment
Contributing to the evolution of Croda's approach to hazard/safety assessment to deliver to the current and future needs of Croda's categories and regions (i.e. use of in silico tools, read across, NAMs)
Delivery of technical input into strategic decision making of the Global Safety and Regulatory Affairs Groups
Preparing of, and participating in, workshops and representing Croda at Trade Associations, Conferences and Initiatives supporting alternatives to animal testing
Recognised contact person for toxicology topics
