As Trace Investigator
your primary responsibility will be to utilise a variety of investigative tools and search methods to identify the liable party for a specified time period. You will gather comprehensive evidence to support your findings, ensuring all information is thoroughly documented on the account through detailed notes, attachments, and other relevant records. Once sufficient evidence has been collected to update the account with the correct name, your next step will be to locate a current forwarding address and any pertinent contact details for the individual or commercial entity involved. This role requires attention to detail, persistence, and strong research skills to accurately trace both personal and business accounts.

As our Trace Investigator you will be responsible for the following:
Find and update account information on our CRM system
Use various methods of communication to gather information, this could be email or outbound calls
Undertake follow up or corrective action on the account if further information comes to light
You need to be able to manage your own workloads and be proactive
Self-managing and can work on own initiative
A keen desire to investigate and find information to ensure we have up to date and accurate customer information
A willingness to be flexible and will work on any additional work or processes that is required by the Senior Management Team
What we need from you?
As a key member of our DP Trace Team, you will be able demonstrate the following skills:
Excellent written and communications skills that are clear and professional
Strong decision making
Good at problem solving
Attention to detail is essential
Excellent computer literacy skills using CRM systems, emails, databases and Microsoft office
Interpersonal and Team Skills, we expect all our agents to collaborate effectively with their peers across the Debt Purchase Dept.
Adaptability and Flexible, we need all of our agents to be really flexible when priorities shift, and unexpected issues arise.
Debt Collections - ideally some knowledge or understanding of Debt Collections or Credit Services industry
Good understanding of Utilities industry would be advantageous
