Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery and mechanical knowledge. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate a tractor trailer safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used to prevent damage. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and at the warehouse. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing minor repairs or maintenance on the vehicle when necessary.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating a tractor trailer. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed experience. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues. Previous warehouse experience is an advantage. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all transport regulations.
