Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. Preferably someone who is willing to manage a team of drivers and can control the day to day running of the operation

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery of vehicles This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including manual and automatic vehicles The Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles for the purpose of transporting goods to designated locations. Ensure timely and safe delivery of products while adhering to all traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times collecting vehicles from customers aswell as dealerships Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients. Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles when necessary.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with 0 points minimum 2 years driving experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise. Previous trade plate driving is desirable but can be trained advantageous for understanding logistics operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
