Overview of the role


A Trade Support Associate will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the FX Retention Team, ensuring that all foreign exchange transactions are accurately booked, compliant, and efficiently processed. This position acts as a vital link between clients, traders, and internal departments, maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service. The role involves assisting with trade execution and settlement, monitoring compliance requirements, and helping to maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and operational excellence. It's an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a career in financial services with exposure to FX trading, payments, and client relationship management within a fast-paced Fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities



Trade Execution & Support

Support account managers in accurate booking, confirmation, and settlement of FX trades. Provide timely and professional support to clients, addressing queries and ensuring smooth trade execution. Monitor trade workflows and assist in identifying and mitigating operational risks. Liaise with traders, compliance officers, and operations teams to resolve trade discrepancies or settlement issues.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all transactions adhere to internal procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date client records and ensure all documentation meets KYC and AML obligations.

Client Onboarding & Relationship Support

Assist in onboarding new clients and supporting the maintenance of existing client relationships.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of trade support processes and operational efficiency. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination between front, middle, and back-office functions


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills. A solid understanding of financial markets or a keen interest in FX, trading, or payments. Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with CRM or trade booking systems is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience or internship in financial services, trade support, or compliance (preferred but not essential). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with CRM software and sales enablement tools. A true team player with a winning mentality and strong work ethic committed to continuous improvement and high performance. Adaptable, tenacious and flexible who can perform under pressure.
