We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst to join our trading operations team. This role is ideal for graduates with a degree in Computer Science who are interested in building a career at the intersection of financial operations, technology, and trading systems.
As an Operations Analyst, you will be required to have hands-on experience supporting the operational workflows of FX and CFD trading, assisting in trade execution monitoring, data reconciliation, and reporting. You will work closely with senior analysts and technical teams to ensure accurate and efficient post-trade processes while learning how to leverage technology for automation and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Trading Operations Support
Monitor live FX and CFD trade flows across platforms such as MT4/MT5, OneZero, Integral, or similar.
Assist with daily monitoring of open positions, P&L reports, and margin usage data.
Support trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, settlement, and exception handling.
Data Management & Reconciliation
Perform daily trade, position, and cash reconciliation between internal systems and liquidity providers.
Help maintain and verify data integrity across front-, middle-, and back-office systems.
Support the creation and enhancement of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
Reporting & Analysis
Assist in generating internal and regulatory reports using SQL and data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Support operations and trading teams with ad hoc data queries and operational metrics analysis.
Work with senior staff to identify areas for workflow improvements and automation.
Technology & Automation
Use Python and SQL to support automation of routine operational tasks under guidance.
Help test and deploy small-scale scripts and tools to streamline processes.
Gain exposure to system integration (e.g., FIX protocol, APIs) and trading infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in related field (desired)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (required).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in finance and trading operations.
Familiarity with Python and SQL from academic or project work.
Basic understanding of database concepts and system workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to task execution.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to trading systems (MT4/MT5, XCore, Integral, OneZero) is a plus.
Experience using Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
Interest in financial markets, fintech systems, or electronic trading environments.
Fluency in Mandarin is a plus but not required.
