Were looking for a Trade Waste Officer whos not afraid to roll up their sleeves, hit the streets, and help us grow our commercial waste and recycling services across Newport.
This isnt your average desk job. Youll be the face of Newport City Councils trade waste service meeting business owners, promoting our recycling solutions, and helping local enterprises manage their waste in a greener, smarter way.
What youll be doing:
Promoting our trade waste and recycling services to businesses across the city.
Building relationships with new and existing customers$uunderstanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
Driving growth by identifying new opportunities and helping us stay competitive in the market.
Supporting operations from customer queries and invoicing to stock orders and service coordination.
Championing sustainability by encouraging recycling and helping businesses meet their environmental responsibilities.
What were looking for:
A confident communicator who enjoys meeting people and making connections.
Someone with a bit of sales flair and a genuine interest in helping businesses go green.
Organised, self-motivated, and happy working both independently and as part of a team.
A full UK driving licence (you&ll be out visiting businesses regularly).
Bonus points if youve worked in sales, marketing, or waste/environmental services before!
