Tesla is seeking a Trading Operations Analyst to join the Regulatory Credit Trading team under Corporate Development. This role will manage the operational infrastructure supporting the origination and trading of revenue-generating transactions within low carbon fuel credit markets in North America and Europe. The successful candidate will be passionate about Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable abundance, demonstrating strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure and solve problems confidently is essential.

What You'll Do

Manage ongoing deal entry, delivery, and invoice requirements for transactions, ensuring accuracy through reconciliation and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies Contribute to the development of fundamental models and market research to support commercial decisions Prepare market risk and exposure reports, including calculating value at risk (VaR) Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize processes across the trade lifecycle and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvement Build strong working relationships with internal teams critical to trading operations, including finance, accounting, supercharging, credit, and policy Develop an expert understanding of regulatory credit markets in which the team is active Ensure accurate external financial reporting by working with accounting and audit teams, and produce weekly and monthly financial reports for business and finance teams

What You'll Bring

Fluent in English with proficiency in at least one other language (French or Spanish preferred) Evidence of exceptional ability in a professional capacity, with few years of experience in physical commodities, environmental products, or capital markets Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience Comfort with ambiguity, analytical and creative first principles thinking, with the ability to solve problems with limited information Ability to read, interpret, and synthesize complex topics such as financial statements, analyst reports, regulations, and technical documents into concise summaries for senior business leaders and external stakeholders Exceptional attention to detail with excellent technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with Python or R preferred, along with experience leveraging tools for automation Highly collaborative and team-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
