Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Depot Manager with pervious experience of a managerial or supervisor role to oversee the logistics operations at our depot. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily depot activities, ensuring efficient supply chain processes, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of the Traffic Management Industry at a Supervisory or Managerial level, logistics, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the depot, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies Manage inventory control processes. Coordinate logistics activities, including the movement of goods in and out of the depot. As well as maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and deliveries. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee a team of staff, providing training and support to ensure high performance. Allocating equipment to different projects based on job requirements. Conducting regular safety inspections of equipment and work sites. Promoting a strong safety culture within the depot. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Uploading and maintaining operations onto the computer system.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a Traffic Management environment is essential. Strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles. Experience in implementing continuous improvement strategies within a depot setting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a diverse team.

Skills

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal communication. Previous experience of managing others. Competent IT skills.
