North Hykeham Relief Road

project -- a major highways infrastructure scheme, designed to improve connectivity, and reduce congestion in the Lincolnshire area. The project includes; significant earthworks, drainage, structures, and highway construction, and offers a great opportunity to be part of a high profile civil engineering scheme.



We are looking for an experienced

Traffic Management Manager

to join the site team and take responsibility for the day to day delivery of a defined section of works. You will play a key role in insuring works are delivered safely, on programme, to specification, and within budget.

What you'll be doing



You will be:


Developing and managing the project Traffic Management Plan Coordinating all temporary traffic management for construction phases, including lane closures, diversions, and road space bookings Liaising with the local highway authority, stakeholders and emergency services Managing TM subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme Reviewing and approving traffic management drawings and method statements Ensuring compliance with Chapter 8, Safety at Street Works & Road Works Code of Practice, and project-specific requirements Planning and overseeing high-risk activities such as night works, tie-ins and major switches Carrying out site inspections and audits of live traffic management setups Leading incident response and ensuring prompt resolution of TM-related issues Ensuring public and workforce safety is maintained at all times

Who we're looking for



You will have:


Proven experience managing traffic management on highways or major infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of Chapter 8 and UK traffic management standards NRSWA Supervisor (desirable) Experience working with local authorities and permit/road space systems Strong planning and coordination skills across multiple work fronts Ability to manage subcontractors and challenge unsafe practices
