About The Role
This is a permanent full-time role working 50 hours per week based over 5 days, from Monday to Friday. Our Head Office is based at Progress Drive Cannock, however you will be required to work at any other location as determined by the needs of the Company to fulfil your role.
In the role of Traffic Management Operative, you will visit sites to help set up traffic management schemes and deal with ongoing traffic issues. You'll report into the Traffic Management Supervisor and the Operations Manager. You must promote a positive image of RNR, completing all your duties to a high standard and in an efficient, customer-focused manner.
The package we are offering includes a competitive salary per hour for M5 qualified operatives, (negotiable for those without) and rewards package including holiday allowance and a Company pension scheme.
The job duties will involve:
Deploying Traffic Management equipment on both planned and reactive maintenance works
Delivery of traffic management equipment to customer sites as per specification
Installation of equipment in line with customer requirements, RNR standards and legislative guidelines
Ensuring customers are coached on the correct use of the equipment and are able to operate the equipment safely
Collecting equipment from sites once a job has been completed
Checking all returned traffic management equipment and completing relevant supporting documentation
Ensure any lost, stolen or damaged items are documented and reported.
Maintaining traffic equipment and carrying out repairs
Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Basic sign repairs on site
Battery switch-outs
Providing onsite assistance to the traffic equipment installation teams
Loading and unloading traffic management equipment onto RNR TM vehicles
Basic housekeeping on and off site.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to your work and enjoy working as part of a team. Experience of working in a traffic management environment would be advantageous however not an essential requirement of the role.
Holding a full clean UK driving licence
Sound knowledge of local roads and good navigation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Willing to undertake relevant training and development
A strong commitment to Health and Safety
Prepared to work overtime and have flexibility to work unsocial hours to meet the needs of the business.
Previous experience of working in a traffic management environment
