The Role:
We're looking for an experienced Traffic Management Planner to be a key part of our busy operations team. You'll plan, coordinate, and deliver traffic management projects, ensuring every job meets our high standards and keeps our clients happy.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate traffic management schemes, including road closures, diversions, and temporary signals
Interpret and work from CAD drawings and site plans
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Prepare and update project documentation, schedules, and spreadsheets
Respond to out-of-hours calls as part of a rota.
Ensure all work complies with company policies, health & safety, and industry standards
Support the operations team with day-to-day office tasks
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in traffic management planning (TM Knowledge essential)
Strong office/administrative skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong people skills and a customer-focused attitude
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to rural office location)
Flexibility to support out-of-hours/emergency callouts
Desirable:
Experience with traffic management software and booking systems
Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NHSS 12AB/D)
Understanding of sustainability and innovative practices in TM
