Scope of the Role:
To be responsible and reliable due to the tasks required, such as communicating with the public either on site or visiting, directing traffic safely, and banking forklifts etc around site, all to comply with law and health & safety on site.
Accountable to:
Site Managers and Project Managers
Key Responsibilities
Direct traffic:
? Use hand signals and communication devices to guide drivers and heavy machinery
Create roadways:
Mark entrances and exits, and create roadways through a site
Ensure safety:
Ensure pedestrians are safe and vehicles aren't stuck in queues
Monitor for hazards:
Monitor construction areas for potential hazards
Implement traffic management plans:
? Oversee traffic management plans
Liaise with drivers and site office:
? Act as a liaison between drivers and the site office
Provide security:
? Ensure visitors are authorized to enter and wearing appropriate safety uniform
Report incidents:
? Report near miss incidents to relevant supervisors
