Job Description

Due to continued growth, FreightForce Distribution Limited require a planner to assist with collections along with arranging our internal night trunks.

Primary Duties: Main purpose of the role:

Pod uploads from previous day need to be completed by a fixed time Overall responsibility for customer collections using company vehicles and subcontractors if required. Manage drivers' compliance, including proactive management of drivers' hours regulations, Working Time Directive Manage and understand compliance with regards to weights, load types, dangerous goods and safe loading Vehicle allocation and driver management of local fleet within Operators License limitations and considering cus*tomer requirements and fleet configuration
Responsible for the communication to local drivers, including trunk driver and agency and warehouse staff Responsible for considering volume and trunk numbers and how many vehicles are effective for evening. Responsible for raising with traffic staff consignments of 5 pallets or over. Ensure collections are made on time in full. (OTIF) provide information to sales and customers where required if required. Ensure drivers are treated fairly and equally
This role is based on a 50 hour working week Monday to Friday with potential on-call duties. The role will start at 09:00 and finish at 19:00

Key working skills required include, good IT skills, knowledge of transport management systems, knowledge of the driver working laws.

Key personal attributes need to include time management, good communication, ability to work within a team but also lead by example, calmness under pressure, results driven and self motivated.

This role is paid between 34-36k depending on experience.
