Location: Lasham, Hampshire

Salary: 35,000-40,000 per year + Bonus Scheme

Job Type: Full-Time | Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday ( 1 hour unpaid break)

Are you an experienced multi-trade professional or builder with a strong background in trailer construction, plumbing, electrics, and mechanical systems?

We are Site Equip, a leading supplier of welfare units, toilet trailers, cabins, and event facilities. We're looking for a practical, driven Build Manager to oversee the manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of our custom-built units. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the mechanical and technical demands of welfare equipment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Project Ownership

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of trailer and unit builds, from planning through to handover.

Hands-On Leadership

- Manage and mentor a small team of in-house tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, fabricators).

Multi-Trade Expertise

- Oversee GRP fabrication, plumbing installations, basic electrical fit-outs , and mechanical servicing.

Workshop Oversight

- Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and organised.

Maintenance Management

- Implement a proactive servicing schedule for our fleet of units to minimise breakdowns and extend their lifespan.

Cost Control

- Manage material usage, reduce waste, and keep build costs on budget.

Quality Assurance

- Uphold high standards across workmanship, finish, and compliance with building regs.

Event Support

- Provide technical oversight and workshop support for event preparation, including pre-dispatch checks and repairs.

What You'll Bring:

Proven experience as a Build Manager, Workshop Supervisor, or Multi-Trade Foreman in a construction, fabrication, or hire business Skilled in plumbing, electrics (12v/240v), GRP cutting, carpentry, and basic mechanics Strong project management and organisational skills A hands-on, can-do attitude with high attention to detail Comfortable reading and working from technical drawings and build plans Confident leading a team and collaborating across departments (Transport, Events, Operations)
