Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Trailer Driver to transport vehicles safely and efficiently using a company-provided vehicle and trailer. This role is strictly for business use only; no social or private mileage is permitted. The successful candidate will operate to high safety and compliance standards while representing the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Safely load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using a company-provided trailer Carry out pre-use and post-use checks on the vehicle and trailer Ensure loads are correctly secured and compliant with road traffic and safety regulations Operate vehicles in compliance with drivers' hours regulations and tachograph rules Complete delivery documentation, vehicle condition reports, and proof of delivery Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules Report any defects, delays, incidents, or damage immediately Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle and trailer Represent the company professionally at all times Comply with all company policies, including no social or private mileage use

Requirements

Minimum age of 25 (for insurance purposes) Full UK driving licence with correct entitlement for towing (B+E where required) Previous trailer towing experience essential Good understanding of tachograph use and drivers' hours regulations Strong knowledge of UK road traffic laws Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Good communication skills Physically capable of loading and securing vehicles Smartphone for job communication and reporting

Desirable Experience and Skills

Valid tachograph card (desirable not essential) Vehicle delivery or automotive transport experience Mechanical awareness Flexible approach to working hours and locations Strong attention to detail and safety

Working Conditions

Company vehicle and trailer provided for work use only No social, commuting, or private mileage permitted Nationwide travel may be required Early starts and long days may be involved Self-employed or employed position (depending on company setup)

Salary

Rates of pay will be discussed and agreed during the interview process
Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
