Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Trailer fitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for trailer repairs and 6 weekly checks to dvsa standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in welding and fabrication processes. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.We are a small family based haulage business with a fleet of scania and mixed make trailers ranging from dennison flats to 4 axle lowloaders.

Responsibilities

Maintain a fleet of trailers to DVSA standards Carry out safety pmi checks every 6 weeks Carry out Mot prep work Maintain a safe working enviroment Ensure all paperwork/electronic apps up to date Report to workshop manager daily on progress or delays Irtec approved technician or willing to undertake Irtec training

Requirements

Own tools required but air tools and specialist tools will be provided Ability to work safely around machinery, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations. Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Ideally time served minimum 3 years experience Hold a full uk licence ideally no points but no more than 6 penalty point Prepared to do breakdowns and call outs on a rota system Weekly pay and company van will be supplied for travel to and from work and company business fuel supplied for commuting. Ideally close to bridgend or within 30 mins option of overtime when required flexible on times normal start times are 7.30am -5 pm but willing to do other start and finish times to suit Call 07538 106 843 to arrange interview or send cv
