Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
Experience
Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience is essential, with a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
Extensive knowledge of food production processes, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is required.
Previous experience in menu planning and development is an advantage.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
