We are a well-established accountancy practice looking for an Accountancy Practice VAT Clerk to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in accountancy and VAT compliance. Full training will be provided, with the role offering the chance to develop practical skills in VAT preparation, submission, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Supporting the accounts team with VAT reconciliations and record keeping. Monitoring VAT compliance in line with HMRC regulations. Handling client queries in a professional and timely manner. Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Requirements

Strong numerical and organisational skills. Willingness to develop within an accountancy practice. Attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Accountancy qualifications or studies (e.g. AAT) are advantageous but not essential.
