to support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of Adam Bernard Solicitors. Working under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the role is ideal for a candidate at the start of their accounting career and looking to gain practical experience in a legal practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in processing daily financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and payments
Support the reconciliation of bank statements and client accounts
Maintain and update financial records and ledgers accurately
Assist with preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders
Help ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and financial procedures
Support the payroll process and related record-keeping
Assist with VAT returns and preparation of quarterly financial summaries
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and staff on finance-related queries
Ensure timely filing and organisation of accounting documents
Provide administrative support to the Practice Manager and Accounts team as needed
Person Specification:
AAT qualified or working towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (knowledge of LEAP or similar case management systems is desirable)
Willingness to learn and develop within a legal finance environment
Discreet, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Training & Development:
