We're looking for a motivated and detail?oriented Trainee Accountant to join our friendly and forward?thinking finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career in accountancy who wants to gain hands?on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and work towards a
Level 7 Apprenticeship
(equivalent to a master's degree) with full study support. You'll be supported every step of the way as you build technical expertise, develop your skills, and play an important role in delivering great service to our clients.
Responsibilities (with training and support provided):
? Assisting in preparing accurate financial statements and reports in line with accounting standards
? Supporting the accounts payable and receivable process, ensuring records are up to date
? Learning to use Xero for bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
? Helping with monthly bank reconciliations and checking general ledger entries
? Assisting in budget preparation and analysis
? Supporting compliance work, including VAT returns, payroll, and basic corporation tax returns
? Helping prepare statutory accounts (FRS102 & FRS105) under guidance
? Providing administrative and client service support, including onboarding new clients
? Developing knowledge in business advisory services to support clients' financial goals
What we're looking for:
? A genuine interest in accountancy and finance
? Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
? Good numeracy and IT skills (Excel experience is a plus)
? Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
? Organised, reliable, and proactive attitude
? Ideally, some basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g. from A?level, college, or similar) -- but full training will be given
