We are growing and are really excited about the next phase of our journey. We are looking to recruit 2 or 3
Bakery apprentices
to our growing team.
We will put you through a three-year, hands-on program. During this time, you will also obtain your SQA qualification. You will get the
very best training in European / sourdough, traditional baking
. All our methods and recipes come from our German founder.
You will also be trained to the very highest skill level in
viennoiserie (pastry), cake making and finishing.
We are a commercial bakery setting and you will be working in a very busy, fast paced environment with large quantities of dough.
You would ideally have some bakery qualification or experience of working in a scratch bakery or commercial kitchen, but this is
not essential
. A willingness to work and learn is the most important thing. We will start you slow and train you across all areas of the bakery. You must have a good attention to detail, be able to maintain a high level of consistency and be comfortable in a busy environment.
The role is
night shift,
so you must be able to get to our site for 10-10:30pm. Shift pattern is 4 over 7 (Guaranteed Saturday night off).
Full time position is 34 hours nightshift
over 4 days with occasional overtime available. Good holidays (5 weeks with 4 days at Xmas and New year) and competitive pay rates.
