THE POSITION
Due to the expansion of our company, we require a Trainee CAD Engineer based at our office in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.


As Trainee CAD Engineer you shall build on current experience to develop a skillset that can provide detailed 2D and 3D drawings for all phases of our offshore wind installation projects. You will work under supervision and be given guidance on how to produce deck layouts, lifting arrangements, rigging arrangements, jack up position offshore drawings and storyboards.


You will show an aptitude to develop an engineering thought process, and explore engineering solutions with minimal supervision. You will build and develop professional relationships with team members, and gain an understanding of the requirements and deliver in a timely manner.


YOUR IMPACT
As a Trainee CAD Engineer, your responsibilities are:



Creating 2D and 3D drawings of deliverables to our offshore wind projects within our Transport & Installation Unit. Identifying clashes and clarifying operational issues by making 3D visualisations. Contribute to finding efficient methods for transport and installation of the foundation and wind turbine components. Contribute to standardisation and optimisation of work processes within the draughting team. Continue professional development in terms of vocational courses and software updates.

ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

A minimum of Level 2 education with some work experience. An insight to the requirements of a CAD Engineer (Draughtsman). An engineering appreciation and interest. Some experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor 3D and Vault. Confident with good communication and social skills.
